Below is a video from one of my favorite new bands, fresh out of Sweden. Little Dragon’s style has been considered everything from electro-jazz to trip-hop (don’t agree with that one, really..), but regardless of the genre, their debut album is lovely and diverse.
Lead vocalist Yukimi Nagano has this really great jazzy stylistic voice, reminiscent of a lighter but still soulful Erika Badu. This video is also amazing; very Gondry-esque – and aesthetically as haunting as it’s pentatonic-edged melody.
